The Trion Bulldog Boy's basketball team competed last night in the first round of the GHSA State Basketball Tournament against the Calhoun County Cougars. The Bulldogs would fight the best that they could, but the game stayed in favor of the Cougars after the first quarter by an average 15 point lead.

AM 1180 broadcast the game live last night with Tom Maxwell and Christian Thomas anchoring the play-by-play. Trion had stiff competition last night, with Calhoun County finishing their season ranked # 3 in the GHSA power rankings and posting a 22-2 overall record.
