A Trion man reported that his home was burglarized Saturday. According to the Sheriff's Department Report, Robert Payne said he and his wife left the home at about 4 p.m. and had left $200 in a box in a rear bedroom. The door was locked and dead bolted when they left. When the couple returned at about 8 p.m., Payne said he unlocked the front door lock and noticed the dead bolt wasn't locked. He reported that the only thing missing was the $200 in the box. The incident was turned over to investigators, according to the report.
