In recognition for bringing it home a third time, Trion Highschool's Competition Cheerleaders will be getting a billboard in their honor. The Trion Town Council made the decision in its regular monthly meeting on Thursday. The billboard will be rented somewhere between the town of Trion and Walmart, according to Mayor Johnny Ingram. The billboard is in honor of the team's hard work and dedication, in bringing home a state championship trophy for the third consecutive year. The Bulldog Competition Cheerleaders have won first in state five times out of past six years and the past three years in a row.
