Trion City Schools, under the leadership of Superintendent Dr. Phil Williams, has released its comprehensive schedule for upcoming student orientations and “Meet the Teacher” events, preparing for the first day of school on August 4, 2025. A significant change has been announced for Trion Elementary School’s “Meet the Teacher” event.

Parents and students are encouraged to note the following important dates and times:

Trion Elementary School:

• Pre-Kindergarten and New Student Orientation: Scheduled for Wednesday, July 30, starting at 5:00 PM. This event will take place in the Trion Middle School Gym.
• Meet the Teacher (All Elementary Grade Levels): Please note the change. This event has been moved to Friday, August 1, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM, and will be held at Trion Elementary School.

Trion Middle School:

• 6th Grade and New Student Orientation: Set for Thursday, July 31, at 5:00 PM.
• All Middle School Student Meet-and-Greet: Following the orientation, a general meet-and-greet for all middle school students will be held from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM. Both middle school events will be located in the Trion City Schools Cafeteria.

Trion High School:

• Freshman and New Student Orientation: Will take place on Thursday, July 31, at 6:00 PM, beginning in the Trion High School Gym.
• Dual Enrollment Student Meeting: A specific meeting for dual enrollment students is scheduled for Thursday, July 31, at 6:30 PM, located in the Trion City Schools Cafeteria.

The first day of school for all Trion City Schools students is set for Monday, August 4, 2025.

Trion City Schools encourages all new students and their families, as well as returning students, to attend these important events to ensure a smooth transition into the new academic year.
