The Trion Fire Department will have a 9/11 Memorial Run  happening today at the Trion Fire Department on Fourth Street in Trion. 

Registration gets underway at 3:30 PM and there will be an opening ceremony at 4:30 PM with the event to get underway at 5 PM.

The Trion Fire Department posted on social media: “The price paid was priceless, to serve and protect. These men and women knew the price before arrival and never questioned the cost.”

The Trion Fire Department is one of hundreds of fire departments hosting events today in honor of the 343 firefighters that lost their lives 21 years-ago during the horrific attacks on September 11th.  The event is 3.43 miles – in honor of those 343 firefighters.
