A Trion family’s home was a total loss after a fire on Thursday morning of last week.

According to the Trion Fire Department, the residential structure fire happened on Walnut Street.  Firefighters say that smoke detectors woke up the family of eight and allowed them to get to safety.

The Summerville Fire Department and Hays Correctional Fire Department also responded to the scene.  The home was a total loss, but there were no injuries.
