COVID-19 has had a significant impact on frontline first responders, including the volunteer fire and EMS community. To assist in the safety of these workers, FirstNet, Built with AT&T has teamed-up with the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) to donate pandemic-related supplies to volunteer fire and EMS departments.

Nationwide, the organizations have donated up to $900,000 worth of pandemic-related supplies to help volunteer fire departments.

The Trion Fire Department received a large donation of vinyl gloves (360 boxes), 1 gallon hand sanitizer bottles (20 gallons), 32oz hand sanitizer bottles (144), 16oz hand sanitizer bottles (288), 80 count sanitizing wipes (72 packs), and reusable face coverings last week.  Now, the Trion Fire Department wants to share these supplies with other fire departments in Chattooga County.  Other volunteer fire departments are welcome to contact the Trion Fire Department to receive some of the supplies.
