Trion High School is proud to announce the launch of free English language classes specifically designed for Spanish-speaking adults in the community. This initiative aims to empower parents with essential language skills, fostering stronger connections between home and school and enhancing overall community engagement.

The complimentary classes will be held in the Trion High School library from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on designated evenings, offering a convenient schedule for participating adults. The program is entirely free of charge, removing financial barriers to access crucial educational opportunities.

The primary purpose of these English classes is to support Spanish-speaking parents with limited English proficiency. By providing them with foundational English skills, the program seeks to bridge the communication gap between parents, students, and school staff, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and supportive educational environment for all students.

Instruction will be provided by educators Gisel Canongo and Llanelli Perez, who are committed to creating a welcoming and effective learning environment for all participants.

As an added incentive, participants who attend a minimum of 20 sessions will receive a special literacy recognition, celebrating their commitment and progress in mastering English.
