A Chattooga County man was arrested in Floyd County this week on charges of theft from a home improvement store.

According to reports, thirty-three-year-old Randall Duane Craig, Jr. of Trion was arrested after he was accused of stealing two Milwaukee batteries from Home Depot in Rome.

Reports added Craig then proceeded to attempt to resist officers who were attempting to take him into custody.

The batteries were valued at $298.

Craig was charged with theft by shoplifting and obstruction of law enforcement.
