AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio reported on yesterday the arrest of 42 year old Robert Gene Milam, Jr. of Trion on charges of Simple Assault under the Family Violence Act and Obstruction or Hindering Law Enforcement Officers.

Allegedly, Milam of a Mtn. View Road Address, tried to run over his seventeen year old son after a dispute.  According to reports the man’s son became irate and began to stomp a video game, the family feud ensued and Milam allegedly swerved a white Ford Crown Victoria at his son who had to jump in a ditch to avoid getting hit.

Deputies arrested Milam after threatening to use a Taser to subdue him.  Milam was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on Tuesday.  The arresting officer was Deputy Bradley Skinner of the Chattooga County Sheriffs Department.
