A man driving with a suspended license last week now faces drug charges.
According to the Sheriff's Department, deputies were conducting a road safety check on Mountain View Road at West Spring Creek Road, when a deputy noticed 33-year-old Matthew Beech, driving a white Chervolet Tahoe, turn off Mountain View onto Spring Creek Road. The deputy reportedly knew that Beech was driving with a suspended license and followed him to a Young Drive, Trion, address where Beech got out of the vehicle went inside the residence and came back outside.
A run of Beech's license showed it suspended and Beech was arrested. While searching Beech officers reportedly found a black and silver pipe containing suspected marijuana and hydrocodone pills in a silver container. Beech reportedly showed the officer a prescription for the Hydrocodone. Beech is charged with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and possession and use of drug related objects, according to the report.
