A single vehicle crash over the weekend left a Trion man facing multiple citations from the Georgia State Patrol.  According to the weekly accident report released yesterday, twenty-one year old Jerred Lee Wallen of Trion was travelling on Airport Road in Trion around 1:30 Saturday morning when he tried to negotiate a curve and ran off the road way and struck a utility pole. 

State Troopers cited Wallen for reckless driving, failure to maintain a single lane, hit and run – leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report accident, failure to notify owner upon striking a fixture, driving on the wrong side of the roadway, open container of alcohol, safety restraint violation and driving too fast for conditions.

Wallen and a passenger, twenty year old Shanna Hampton of Trion were not seriously injured in the accident.
