A Trion man recently reported to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office that someone stole a number of checks from the console of a parked work truck, a white Ford F-150, that was at a Northridge Estates address.

He stated that three of the checks had been cashed at the Bank of Lafayette – after someone had forged his signature on them.

The investigation into the matter is on-going.
