Trion Police released more information about a Summerville man who was arrested for sexual exploitation of a child in December.  The report was released on Saturday of last week. Thirty-five-year-old Alan Scott Holbrook of a Back Penn Road, Summerville address admitted to police that he had sent sexually explicit photos to a minor female that he knew to be under the age of sixteen.  Holbrook was arrested after warrants were served earlier last month.  You can read a statement from the Trion Police Department below:

From the Trion Police Department – Released December 30, 2023:

On December 12th, 2023, a juvenile and her mother arrived at the Trion Police Department and reported that an adult male had been sending inappropriate messages to the juvenile’s phone.

On December 14th, Trion Police Department Investigator Wooten met with the juvenile regarding a report that the juvenile had been receiving sexually explicit texts and photos from a local Chattooga County resident. Investigator Wooten was then shown numerous texts and was able to ascertain their origin. As a result of the victim’s statement, an interview was conducted with Summerville resident, Alan Scott Holbrook.

During the interview, Mr. Holbrook admitted to sending the victim sexually graphic texts and photos as well as knowing that the female juvenile was only 16 years of age.

Based on these facts, a warrant for Mr. Holbrook was obtained and he was subsequently arrested and booked into the Chattooga County Jail. Investigations are still ongoing at this time.
