On Thursday of this week, the Trion Police Department and its partners with the Mountain Traffic Enforcement Network conducted a series of road/safety checks both in and around the Town of Trion.

During those stops, law enforcement officials checked – Driver’s Licenses and Registration Verification along with Insurance Verification; they also checked for seatbelt compliance – driver impairment – and Vehicle Safety Compliance.

Trion Police Chief Jason M. Kellett said they are aggressively cracking down on impaired, dangerous drivers this year, in an effort to make this a safer, happier holiday season for all.
