The Trion Town Council met in their regular monthly work session yesterday evening at the Trion Town Hall.  One of the items on the agenda was the proposal to put security cameras at the walking track and pavilion area in Trion.   Council members told Mayor Benny Perry that most residents that they had talked to feel that over $14,000 for video cameras is too much money.  Instead council members said they would like to consider the possibility of more lighting in the area to prevent vandalism.

The council also discussed a $4,500 bid for work to be done at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.  According to Mayor Perry the job is concrete repair in an area of the plant that has high levels of chlorine.  Perry said that working around the chlorine may be the reason that the Town only received one bid on the job.

The Trion Town Council will meet in their regular monthly meeting this Thursday evening at 6 PM at the Trion Town Hall Conference Room.
