Trion City School Superintendent Dr. Phil Williams confirmed on Monday that a student or staff member at Trion Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19.  Due to the fact that the case is in an early grade, an entire class has been quarantined.

Dr. Williams released the COVID-19 Infection Report showing that there are two students or staff members within the school system that have tested positive for COVID-19; one at Trion Elementary School and one at Trion High School.  No cases have been reported at Trion Middle School.

Supt. Williams says that Trion City Schools is abiding by all recommendations from the CDC and the Georgia Department of Public Health.
