It was a very short meeting on Thursday evening for the Trion Town Council.  Council members voted to table accepting the financial report because Councilman John Simmons raised objections to a engineering company that had reportedly charged the town $5,000 for a survey regarding erosion control.  Also the council voted to table a request from the Chattooga County Library for an increase in the part of the library budget funded by the Town of Trion.  The council also approved a motion to allow William Roper to drill a well to be used to water his garden and his lawn.  Council member Johnny Ingle was concerned about yards that needed mowing on the 200 block of Park Avenue and the 400 Block of Walnut Street.  Mayor Perry said that he would let the property owners know today that the grass needed mowing.
