The Town of Trion is receiving some free land from Trion United Methodist Church. The Trion congregation is donating a section of land to connect two streets.
Trion Mayor Larry Stansell says that the church’s donation will allow the Town of Trion to connect Pine and Chestnut Streets. People often use the church’s parking lot as a cut through.
The Town of Trion expects to connect the two streets with a new street after the church paves their parking lot. Mayor Stansell says that the paving for the new street will not be expensive and will solve the problem of people cutting through Trion Methodist’s parking lot.
