A woman from Trion was arrested Thursday after police say she passed the jail guardlines with illegal drugs.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Judy Lee Smith, 60, of 611 Oak Hill Drive in Trion, was arrested by Rome police around 5 p.m. She was charged with felony possession of drugs by an inmate, DUI, improper lane usage and failure to possess a license.

Police said that Smith was in possession of several pills while being booked into the jail, even though she had been warned that bringing in any contraband would be extra criminal charges.
