A Trion woman was arrested on drug charges in Walker County this past week after a traffic stop.

LaFayette Police followed a car that they had observed failing to maintain a single lane.  The driver then made turn without signaling.

Police say that forty-two-year-old Shakara Fay Holland of Trion, told them that her license was suspended.  However, when police ran her license it came back valid.  Police asked for consent to search her vehicle and turned up illegal drugs.

Officers found a baggie with suspected methamphetamine and a prescription drug was found inside another baggie.

Holland was taken to jail on charges including possession of meth and possession of a schedule four controlled substance.
