Deputies and Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on Monday of this week.
Deputies were dispatched to an address on Atlanta Ave, in Cloudland in reference to a loud explosion and smoke. While en-route to the area, dispatchers received a call from the vehicle owner to say his truck was on fire.
Firefighters were on scene to extinguish the fire and truck owner, Thomas Bass stated that he and his wife were in their bedroom asleep, when their daughters let them know that the truck was on fire. Mr. Bass advised that the starter had been acting up and he had parked in front of his residence and pulled it up so the glow plugs would stay warm. After extinguishing the fire, it was determined that the fire did start in the engine compartment.
No one was injured and no other damage was reported.
