The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office investigated to shoplifting incidents this past week at Wal-Mart in Trion.
According to reports from the sheriff’s office, a thirty-four-year-old Rome woman was accused of “skip-scanning” and attempted to shoplift $73.51 worth of groceries. The incident was osberved by a Wal-Mart employee. A deputy arrested Kayla Sheree Brown and charged her with shoplifting.
In a separate incident, a Menlo woman was charged with “skip-scanning” $83.68 worth of items. Forty-seven-year-old Robin Cavin of Menlo was charged with shoplifting and was subsequently arrested and booked into the Chattooga County Jail on shoplifting charges.
