Some people are sneaky when they try to get away with shoplifting, but according to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department, two Summerville women walked out of Wal-Mart in Pennville recently with a buggy full of merchandise in plain sight without bothering to pay for the items.
This past Sunday a store associate at Wal-Mart observed the two women with a shopping cart full of items walk past the checkout lines and to the parking lot. The women were detained by the associate until law enforcement arrived.
Twenty-four year old Sasha Michelle Scott of a Seventh Street address in Summerville and twenty-four year old Leslie Ann Hudgins of an Oak Street address in Summerville were arrested on shoplifting charges.
According to Wal-Mart the women attempted to shoplift $174.35 worth of merchandise.
