This past week, law enforcement officers graduated from the Georgia Public Safety Training Center’s Basic Law Enforcement Training Course and two of them will be joining local law enforcement agencies in Chattooga County.

New Deputy Sheriff Conner Ellenburg graduated and will start his Field Officer Training Course this weekend.  Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader says that Deputy Ellenburg is a veteran, having served his country in the United States Army and will now be serving the citizens of Chattooga County.

Joshua Mitchell graduated law enforcement basic training and will be joining the Summerville Police Department.  Summerville Police Chief Harold Tucker says that Officer Mitchell was awarded the class flag by the academy’s instructors in order to recognize his hard work, dedication, and willingness to help his fellow cadets.
