Two Republicans have joined the field in the Georgia Senate District 52 race.Hayden Collins, a 47-year-old Cartersville efficiency manager, has qualified as a Republican, as has Republican Chuck Hufstetler. They will face off against Republican David Doss, of Rome,  for the seat with represents a small portion of Chattooga County. 

Collins who lives in Cartersville has a full-time job is as a resource efficiency manager for the U.S. Marine Corps base in Albany. He also has contracts with the military at Fort Benning, the U.S. Navy submarine base in Camden County and other bases worldwide.

A life-long Republican, Hufstetler is a member of the TEA Party, NRA, Georgia Right to Life, and Chamber of Commerce. Chuck Hufstetler was a Floyd County Commissioner from 1999 to 2007. He has owned Paul’s Oyster Bar since 1994 and is an anesthesiolgist at Redmond Hospital.
