Two people were rescued from a burning house in Dalton early Wednesday morning. Both were treated at the scene, transported to Hamilton Medical Center, and then both were flown to the Burn Center in Augusta.

 Fire fighters found a man inside a front bedroom, in cardiac arrest. A woman was located in a back bedroom, and she was not breathing. CPR and ventilation treatments kept both alive until EMT's arrived. Their conditions are not known. The cause of the fire in still under investigation.
