Following the state-wide trend, Chattooga Countians voted for a veteran Democratic politician and former candidate for state wide office, Jim Martin over Dekalb County Georgia CEO Vernon Jordan in yesterday’s run off election.

Martin received 2,678 votes to Jordan’s 1,164 votes in Chattooga County.  State wide Martin easily won the nomination to face off with Republican incumbent U.S. Senator Saxby Chambless with almost 60% of the vote.
