Summerville Police responded to a call on Sunday evening about a house that was broken into on Union Street.  The complainant told the responding officer that she had just returned home from vacation and found that someone had been sleeping in the master bedroom while she was away. 

The person had taken a sheet and covered the television in the bedroom and then unplugged it.

The officer found that someone had forced the back door open.

Neighbors told police that they had not noticed anyone breaking into the house, but they also told police that a man had been staying with the neighbors and had not been seen since the night prior to the incident.

The incident is still under investigation.
