United Grocery Outlet is now open in Summerville. The store held a ribbon cutting and grand opening on Wednesday morning and is welcoming the public to come and shop.
United Grocery Outlet’s CEO Gary Buchanan told WZQZ News on Wednesday that the store in Summerville makes thirty-eight retail locations for the grocery store chain that is based in Tennessee. Buchanan along with District Manager Rick Norman were at the grand opening in Summerville and say that they look forward to serving the people of Chattooga County and surrounding areas.
According to United Grocery Outlet’s web site, the grocery store chain specializes in handling inventory imbalances, closeouts, packaging changes, close-dated product, factory seconds, and trial run products. From our distribution center in Athens, Tennessee, we operate retail outlets in Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Virginia, and Alabama.
