With Thanksgiving coming up this week, plans are being made for Christmas activities around Chattooga County:

Trion

The Trion Christmas Committee announces the return of decorations for the town of Trion. They would like to encourage all citizens to get into the spirit and decorate our town for Christmas. This can be a jolly time of year if everyone will decorate so neighbors and friends can enjoy the displays along with our families.

On Monday night, December 13, judges will tour throughout the town starting at 5:30 p.m. Be sure to have your lights turned on so they can be seen by the judges. In case of inclement weather, judging will take place on Tuesday, December 14.

Prizes will be awarded for the best displays of Christmas lights. First place receives $100.00; second is $75.00; and third place will be $50.00. The prizes will be awarded at the Trion Council meeting at 6:00p.m. on December 16.
