According to Centre Police Chief Kirk Blankenship, Centre Police were involved in a short chase Thursday morning after Officer Seth Rochester discovered that he was given false information in connection with an accident investigation occurring the day before.

After Officer Rochester discovered that he was given false information from a subject that was involved in that accident he began looking for the suspect – who was later identified as 52 year old Toni Udden.

Rochester then requested assistance from Cherokee County Deputies and upon arriving at the location where Udden was, Rochester learned that the suspect had left the residence.

A lookout was then issued for her vehicle.

Deputies with the Sheriff’s Office, Chief Kirk Blankenship, and Investigator Randy Mayorga also joined in the search.

Udden was later spotted by Investigator Mayorga on Highway 411 North where he then initiated his emergency lights.  Udden at first refused to stop but finally pulled over a short distance before the Alabama/Georgia Line where she was then taken into custody.

 She was charged with Obstruction of Justice and Fleeing/Attempting to Elude – with bond set at $5,500.
