U.S. 41 in Bartow County will be closed at the bridges over the Ga. 293 and CSX railroad tracks starting next Monday night.
The right lane of U.S. 41 north and southbound at these locations will be closed every night from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., to allow for work on repairing the bridge beams. The bridge beam repair is expected to take 6-8 days to complete. This bridge work and the lane closures it necessitates are weather permitting and subject to change.
“Georgia DOT wants to constrict traffic flow in this area as little as possible, but delays at times are almost unavoidable,” said Kent Sager, district engineer at the DOT office in Cartersville. “We have made every effort to minimize the impact this bridge repair may have on the heavy traffic on U.S. 41 in Bartow County.”
