Chattooga County Roads and Bridge Director Joe Reed told AM 1180 that drivers this morning should be using extreme caution as they travel. Reed said that virtually every road in the county has water standing on it. Chattooga County Public Works crews were out throughout the day yesterday and into the night placing signs in areas where water was over the road. Reed said that they are doing all that they can to make sure that people are aware of areas with standing water. Use special caution in low-lying areas. Highway 27 near Walmart in Pennville has a large amount of standing water on the road – use caution this morning and turn your lights on when it's raining.
