A verbal disagreement lead to the arrest of one Summerville man, for public intoxication and disorderly conduct on Sunday.

Officers were dispatched to a 7th Street address in regards to a male trying to start a fight, where they meet with Ricky Powell. Powell stated that Horace Wooten had walked down to his house and attempted to start a fight. Powell told officers that Wooten had left before they arrived, however he believes the argument started the night before and that Wooten had been drinking prior to coming down then.

Officers advised Powell to call if Wooten came back again. Less than 20 minutes later, Officers were dispatched back to Ricky Powells address to find that Wooten had just left again after attempting to start a second altercation.  Horace Wooten was found walking down the road just a short distance away. Approaching Wooten showed him to be slurring his words and having difficulty in speech. Officers placed Wooten under arrest for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
