The Georgia Department of Veterans Service (GDVS)  resumed in-person visits at Veterans Field Service Offices across the state in June of this year.  However, veterans need to call ahead and make appointments at their local field service offices.

Chattooga, Walker and Dade Counties are served by the GDVS field office in LaFayette.

According to the GDVS: “Visitors will be asked screening questions upon arrival at their scheduled appointment. Please note that visitors are asked to wear a facemask when visiting one of our offices. Visitors should observe social distancing guidelines while in our waiting areas and while speaking with field service officers.”
