In honor of Veterans Day, all veterans in the area are warmly invited to a complimentary meal and a time of fellowship at the Chattooga County Memorial Home. The event is set to take place today at 12 Noon for those who have served in our nation’s military.
Organized by dedicated local Veteran Advocates Odell Anderson and former State Representative Barbara Massey Reece, this special occasion aims to bring together veterans from all walks of life to share stories, camaraderie, and support. During the gathering, two local veterans will be recognized with a Quilt of Valor, a poignant tribute to their service and sacrifice. In keeping with the spirit of fellowship, no formal program is scheduled, allowing veterans ample time to connect and reminisce with one another.
The Veterans Day Lunch is made possible through the generous sponsorship of United Community Bank, VFW Post 6688 and Auxiliary, along with numerous friends of veterans in the community. Veterans are strongly encouraged to attend and partake in this communal celebration of honor and gratitude.
