The idea is being floated again for video lottery machines in Georgia. The idea has come up unsuccessfully before, but now with the lottery running short of funding for HOPE and pre-k, it’s coming up again. Dave Garret is a real estate developer and has been involved in the lottery on and off from the beginning.  Garret says he thinks the lottery board can bring in video lottery without the involvement of the general assembly. Governor Deal has shown opposition to the idea however
