Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters held a meeting yesterday at the Civic Center to tell potential volunteers about helping out in the new Veterans Service Office in Chattooga County. 

The commissioner and State Representative Barbara Massey Reece have arranged for the Veterans Service Office to open in Summerville staffed with part-time volunteers and a Veterans Service representative on hand one to two days a week. 

Commissioner Winters told AM 1180 that 14 people have volunteered so far to work in the office.  Winters said there will be another meeting within the next few weeks about the Veterans Service Office.
