Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger on Monday urged voters to return their absentee ballots in time for the June 9 primary.  The Secretary of State says that around 1 million voters have not returned the ballots that they had requested.

“Vote from the convenience of your own kitchen table. Take your time to do it, but get it done as soon as you can,” Raffensperger said in an interview. “Sooner better than later, because it has to be received by June 9, no later than 7 PM, to be counted.”

So far, over 551,000 voters have returned their absentee ballots statewide.

Here in Chattooga County residents will have the opportunity to vote on Saturday in-person for the June 9th Primary this coming weekend.  Saturday early voting will take place at the Chattooga County Registrar Office located on Commerce Street, just south of the Chattooga County Courthouse.  Voting will take place from 9 AM until 4 PM.  Be sure to bring a picture ID when you come to vote.
