The county commissioners from three Northwest Georgia counties are considering forming a regional ambulance service to meet the needs of Walker, Dade and Catoosa Counties.  This comes on the heels of the announcement from Hutcheson Medical Center in Ft. Oglethorpe that they will discontinue their current ambulance service effective January 1st.  The governments of the three counties are to discuss the idea in meetings planned for this week.
