A Jenkins Road, Walker County man was arrested after he assaulted several family members, including a seventy-four-year old woman.

When deputies arrived at the scene of the altercation, forty-year-old Dustin White of LaFayette was being restrained and one of the family members told deputies that White had a knife.  The deputies drew their service weapons and gave commands for White to comply.  White refused to comply and deputies had to physically pick him up and place him in custody in the patrol car.

White continued to yell profanities and kicked the door of the patrol vehicle.

According to the incident report from the Walker County Sheriff’s Office, “The victim stated that he heard Dustin and his niece arguing outside. The victim ran outside after she yelled for help. When he got outside, he saw Dustin rear back to hit his 74-year-old mother. A violent struggle ensued with Dustin stabbing and assaulting the victim. At some point before the stabbing, Dustin struck the female victim in her in the face. A deputy observed a red mark on the lower part of her face. Dustin then charged the 74-year-old woman shoving her backward.”

The report said that White was extremely belligerent all the way to the Walker County Jail, kicking and screaming. He was booked into the jail charged with aggravated assault, three counts of battery, abuse of elderly, criminal trespass, and felony obstruction.
