Walker County residents needing help for Christmas for kids this year have until tomorrow to apply for the Al Millard Memorial Stocking Full of Love of Walker County.  The deadline is November 30th.  Assistance for families with children up to age 14 is available. 

The Walker County Stocking Full of Love has five to seven fund raisers throughout the year to raise money to help kids at Christmas.  Corporate sponsors supplement the money that is raised.  Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson told WZQZ News this week, “We average about 1,400 children each year. Our highest number of children served was about 2,100 in 2012. This is our 34th year for the Al Millard Stocking Full of Love”.
