Daughtery Gap Road on Lookout Mountain remains closed and Walker County is working to find the funds for repair.  The road which runs through Mountain Cove Farms is used by many Cloudland residents in both Chattooga and Walker counties for access to Lafayette were damaged during the flood in September. Walker County Administrator David Ashburn said that around $4 million in road and bridge damage was sustained by the flood in September.  Along with Daughtery Gap Road, Walker County needs repairs to a bridge on East Reed Road and a wash out on Lake Howard Road. Walker County is working with FEMA reviewing the needed repairs.
