The Walker County Sheriff’s Office and the GBI are investigating a homicide that was discovered Wednesday morning at a home just East of LaFayette.
The body of 44 year old James William Wimbley was found at his residence located at 1846 East Highway 136. The victim was killed by a single gunshot wound, according to investigators.
They believe Wimbley died sometime after 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 19th. The body has been transported to the GBI crime laboratory for an autopsy.
