Walker County will be changing to CHI Memorial for its ambulance service next year, once a finalized contract is signed.

CHI Memorial had the best of five bids for the service, according to Emergency Services Director Blake Hodge… and will take over from Puckett EMS next February 1st.

Puckett has handled ambulance service in Walker for the past 4 1/2 years.

Under the new terms, CHI Memorial will provide a fifth ambulance and a 24-hour shift supervisor to the new service for Walker County.
