A twenty-four-year-old Walnut Grove resident has been indicted in connection with the death of her toddler daughter, in June of last year.
Kyla Ann Padgett is charged with 2nd degree murder, involuntary manslaughter and cruelty to children in the case, according to Sheriff Steve Wilson.

Little Rileigh Faith Padgett died while she, her mom and an adult male were camping off Walnut Grove Road.  The report indicated that the child died when her neck was caught in the vehicle’s rolled-up rear window.   Responders were unable to revive her.

Ms. Padgett was booked at the Walker County Jail late last week.
