
The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office took out warrants for criminal damage to property against a Summerville man last week after he was accused of damaging a building in Trion.
The incident happened on Watson Road after an argument between the man and the complainant’s neighbor.
The complainant told a responding deputy that Joseph Stowe of Summerville, had backed out of her neighbor’s driveway at a high rate of speed and backed into her metal carport, causing damage. The deputy spoke with the neighbor who confirmed that she and Mr. Stowe had an argument and that he left with two of her cell phones and took off at a high rate of speed.
The deputy told the complainant that the sheriff’s office would be taking out a warrant for for criminal damage to property against Mr. Stowe.
