The Chattooga County Water District Board met in their regular monthly meeting on Thursday evening at the Water District Office located on old Highway 27 in Trion.  At the meeting, Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters re-appointed board members Sammy Lee, Brad Hayes, Larry Wesson and Tommy O’Kelly to two-year terms on the board. 

The water district is urging anyone who lives in the Gore-Subligna area, Holland, Chattoogaville or Cloudland that has not signed up for water service at the reduced rate of $65 to do so before the March 31, 2011 cut-off date.  Commissioner Jason Winters stressed that this will be the last time the water district will be able to offer these reduced rates to potential customers.
