Rainy, wet weather is predicted for Halloween and that is causing a lot of changes to plans for Halloween activities in Chattooga County.
Yesterday the decision was made to move the “Light the Night” event from outside to inside the Trion Recreation Center. The event is being sponsored by Trion area churches and will feature free candy and games for children. The Trion Police Department told WZQZ News on Tuesday that the Trion Halloween Walk is a separate event and is still on schedule at this time.
The Optimist Club made the decision to move the Summerville Halloween Walk from downtown Summerville to the Chattooga County Agricultural Building, due to the rainy forecast. The event will still be held from 5 PM -7 PM, but will take place at the Ag Building, located off Highway 100 on Middle School Drive in Summerville.
Lyerly’s Trunk or Treat is still on schedule for Friday, November 1st at Angus McCleod Park and will feature free candy, hot dogs, hayrides and they will be showing the movie “Hocus Pocus”.
The Cloudland Community also has a Trunk or Treat planned for Halloween evening at the park at Cloudland.
